A lone adventurer vanished while scouting the deep marshlands for signs of monsters. When his belongings wash up near the village, soaked and torn, locals fear the worst. They hire (or beg) the party to track him down, recover his body if possible, and uncover what killed him.

But as the party follows the adventurer’s trail through sinking mud, broken camp gear, and massive drag marks carved into the earth, it becomes clear he did not die easily — and whatever took him is still out there, waiting in the fog-drenched swamp.
